A stunning monument sign for Silverstream Retreat

We’ve been meaning to share this one for a while… We were tasked with designing a new entrance sign using an existing river stone wall at this amazing local events and accommodation venue.

It is a treat when we get an opportunity to take a design right from conceptualisation and digital mockups, through to complete industrial design installation. Our concept draws from the existing branding and is inspired by the use of rustic materials throughout the venue. The logo monogram is displayed with a single stencilled piece of corten steel, weathered to perfection. Bright white lettering pops against the stained timber post backdrop. We designed the timber backdrop so that it used blocks of the same timber as spacers, for structural rigidity, ease of installation, and with offset placements to add visual interest. (Native planting isn’t in yet, so we’ve mocked it up to show the complete vision. 🌱)

This combination of practicality and appealing visuals is what good design is all about!
