Signage that enhances our enviroment! — Wayfinding signage for Remutaka Cycle Trail
We consider it a privilege any time we have the opportunity to create something that exists out in the world and enhances the environment that we live in. This signage system for Wellington's 'Great Ride of New Zealand', the Remutaka Cycle Trail is our latest example.
We completed the first phase of signage for the Remutaka Cycle Trail earlier this year and we are thrilled to see some of the signage installed already along the Upper Hutt section of the Hutt River Trail (which forms part of the Remutaka Cycle Trail). This initial phase includes a range of signs including bollards, blades, arrows, and other ancillary signs. All tied together in a cohesive system to aid trail users in navigating this amazing asset.
This project was a collaborative effort amongst all the councils that the trail runs through, WellingtonNZ's Remutaka Cycle Trail Advisor, and Graphic Print & Sign. We look forward to developing signage for future sections and seeing some of the other plans come to fruition in future. For now, check these out and enjoy the trail!
