Print isn’t dead! Developing a range of publications for Insol Architectural Facades
A key part of the Insol brand refresh rollout was the design and production of a range of publications.
Insol 4-Volume Brochure Set with Custom Slip Case
A massive brochure collection that helped define and unify Insol’s new visual identity, all delivered at the same time: Canopy (32 pages), Capabilities (48 pages), Dapple (56 pages) and Louvre (56 pages). Each book was designed as part of a cohesive family and finished with a spot UV gloss cover. The scale and complexity of producing them in parallel with the brand refresh made this a unique and demanding piece of work, and one we’re particularly proud of.
The collection of four brochures showcases product lines, case studies, technical information, and incredible architectural photography.
Each book was perfect bound and the set was completed with a custom die-cut slipcover design based on Insol’s Dapple product “Dusk”, with a subtle illustration of shadows cast across the cover.
WindLab Brochure
WindLab, developed by Insol, is the largest façade testing laboratory of its kind. With four oversized fans built in a 3,000m2 workshop, the wind tunnel is able to generate an open jet of configurable wind speeds up to 200km/h, perfect for acoustic and structural tests that help answer questions like: “Is it safe? Is it noisy? Can we break it?”.
This new WindLab brochure was designed to comfortably sit alongside the new brochures, while standing out with a crisp, sky blue cover and blue design accents throughout. These brochures were printed and perfect bound, with a spot UV treatment on the front and back covers.
Packed full of stunning architecture photography, these brochures are always such an enjoyable project, and we love collaborating with the Insol team to bring them to life.
