Having fun with a great initiative!

After the success of the My Upper Hutt website that we built for Upper Hutt City Council, Tailwind was contacted to build a new website focused on Lower Hutt for Hutt Valley NZ. Check it out now at www.huttvalleynz.com!

The vibrant and fun brand identity had been put on ice a few years prior. So this was a really cool opportunity to bring it back to life in the context of a new website that showcases a growing amount of awesome things to do and experience in the Hutt Valley.

The brief was to create a website that felt eclectic and alive, getting people excited to visit the Hutt Valley. Some of our favourite moments were brainstorming and playing with ways to communicate this vibe in an engaging web format. We deployed motion, colour, stacks of overlapping items, interwoven brand elements, and punchy language. And we built it so that the client could continue to manage and add content to the website with zero assistance from us moving forward. The client is already having fun with it!
